Good comment. I love this film even bought the soundtrack.
And like you I loved Paco and it also made me take up muay thai.
I’m off to Bangkok next week as we speak. An all time great martial arts fim.

Amazingly deep and spiritual movie… Music is a true masterpiece. This film motivated an interest in the martial arts not seen since the death of the legend Bruce Lee.. When my father saw this film, he started to learn karate(Kyokushin). Now he has a 3rd Dan Black Belt(Sensei) and he is still training and teaching karate in spite of he is a businessman as well. Paolo Tocha(Paco) inspired me to learn original Muay Tai. I hope I will become a master one day ;) Martial Arts gives a lot in the Life

These sensei and shidosi are like mister Miyagi: strict in training, but very honorable and like a loving parent.

I love teachers who are hard on their students and respect them at the same time. It shows that they truly care about them. When I look at this movie, his teacher reminds me of my college professors.
