he says he is a fighter who finishes fights…. yeah he definitely finishes fights, he got finished in his fight with b.j. he got finished in his fight with Sanchez, and he lost a decision to Sean Sherk.
he is the most overated lightweight fighter besides penn.all you have to do is be aggressive and he curls up into a ball. which is why i was so surprised when penn beat him, cuz that was an insanely boring fight and all penn ever does is throw jabs. why has he gotten so much publicity when his style is boring?
look at guys like terry etim, or andre winner. they finish fights. they have amazing talent. kenny is nothing special and neither is penn. he’s on the long list of overrated fighters with michael bisping and royce gracie.
yeah thats true he fought lyota to a decision. but you also have to consider how both of their fighting styles are not very risky. more of a sit back and wait for an opportunity to counter. since neither of them attack very often, it sounds like a boring matchup and not surprising it went to a decision. im not impressed. i weigh 135 and i fight bigger guys all the time, one of my buddys was 240, i tore both my rotator cuffs in that match and still fought for 35 minutes till he quit.
b.j. is nothing.
