He just ducks and ducks and the guy couldn’t even hit him.
Wow, I have never seen that one, but the one I saw was with some guy who threw a few punches and then a kick and Silva just dodged them like in a movie lol. I think it was close to end of 1st round.
I seem to can’t remember his name.
Yes!!! Rich Franklin, that’s him ok thanks guys.
Why are people accusing this match to be fixed I saw a question that said “I’m not stupid enough to believe that a backpedaling jab is enough to knock Griffin out.” I don’t see how someone could be so stupid and believe it’s fake. UFC could get arrested, fined, lose their business, and be thrown in prison. I could see how some uneducated MMA fan can’t see that once your rocked it doesn’t take much to knock you out its like breaking a crack window it’s not going to take much force to break and he is the Pound-For-Pound king so his punches I’m guessing are a lot harder and stronger than they look. I’m just curious to know what makes you believe it’s fake.
This was the last training session Anderson did (in Rio de Janeiro) before humiliating Forrest Griffin! The quality is a little low, but that’s not my fault!
I have nothing against Forrest he’s actually one of my favorite fighters but it just seems like in that fight the punch that knocked him out wasn’t that hard of a punch. First off Silva was backing up when he threw it and it was just a right straight jab its not like it was a set up power punch. Forrest normally has a pretty decent chin too (e.g. first Tito Ortiz fight) he doesn’t just go down that quick normally. And what was up with the way Forrest just kinda ran out of the octagon after he lost the fight? I don’t know the whole thing just seemed kinda sketchy to me. Any opinions?
Or will Silva walk away with the Light Heavyweight title? That is if Forrest does’nt loose his title before it ever gets to that point. I’m not sayin Forrest will loose his belt, I’m not sayin Forrest won’t loose his belt.
Or if Forrest drops down to 185 to face Silva for the Middleweight title. I’m not sayin Forrest would to that either or Silva would or would’nt keep his title either!!!!
I see what everbody is sayin but many people thought that Shogun was the best Light Heavyweight and that Forrest was’nt goin to beat him. All I’m sayin is don’t under estimate Forrest, he just may have another upset up his sleeves if this fight ever happen not to say that Anderson Silva will be a push over for Forrest cuse he won’t!!!!!!
I thought Griffin fought like he was in slow motion and got knocked out by a punch that looked more like a jab. When he put up his hands when he was lying there, it looked like he just gave up. I also thought he acted like a poor sport after the fight by literally running out of the Octagon. What gives?
Definitely too many well thought out answers from each end of the spectrum for me to pick a “best answer”. I’m not saying Forrest threw the fight, but he certainly seemed “different” in this one. I think there are only 3 possible scenarios here. Forrest wasn’t at his best last night (physically, mentally, emotionally, or whatever else), the punches were harder than they looked to us, or he took a dive because he was instructed to. Let’s remember, the U.F.C. is not like professional baseball or football. Dana White “owns” the U.F.C. He “is” the governing body. Just like all the fights we see in the U.F.C., Dana White is the one that mixes and matches “all” of the fights. We all know that power can corrupt. I’m sure that White is a fight fan but the U.F.C. is a business first. I pray it wasn’t fixed. They would end it for me if I found that out. It would be no more than a Don King Circus or professional wrestling to me.
