Kung Fu Panda vs Wall-E which movie do you think will win for Best Animated Feature Film and why?
Posted by: mmafan in KungFu, tags: Animated, best, Feature, Film, kung, movie, Panda, Think, WallESo far I have only seen one of these 2 animated movies, and both have scored really great reviews from the movie critics, or most of them. And I am thinking that there is going to be no way, when the Oscars nominees are announced early in 2009, that there will be no way that Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E will not get a nomination for Best Animated Feature Film. And I don’t think that Wall-E is the best animated movie that Disney-PIXAR has ever done, and they pretty much almost have a movie nominated for this award ever year, whether or no they deserve the win. But which of these 2 animated movies do you think will win for Best Animated Feature Film, Kung Fu Panda or Wall-E? And why do you think one of these 2 animated movies will win over the other. If you look at http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/kung_fu_panda/ , Kung Fu Panda scored 89% fresh, 136 fresh reviews, and 17 rotten reviews. And if you check out http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/wall_e/ , it got even better reviews scoring 96% fresh, with 207 fresh reviews and only 8 rotten. So now, which of these 2 movies do you think will win for Best Animated Feature Film and why do you think that movie will win for Best Animated Feature Film for 2008?

Wall-E

I would say Wall-E.
Not only was it appealing to children but also to adults.
The storyline of how the people destroyed the world and became COMPLETELY reliant on technology was great. And although that part of the storyline wasn’t clear to kids, it was to adults.
So it kind of had a double story line.
Kung Fu Panda was an entertaining movie, but it was just like every other Disney-Pixar movies. Wall-E seemed a little bit different.
So I think Wall-E would win.

I think WALL E.
Kungfu Panda is very good too, because that movie use the same formula as Shrek do, well-done icon, “zero to hero” storyline, and full packed action film.
But wall-e is a little different because this movie use anything but ordinary things on the movie. Simple love, 50’s songs, unique “apocalyptic” storyline, two cute icons, and 200million$ budget which is very worthy.

I liked Kung Fu Panda better. I saw Wall-e and think it was too hyped up. I also think it was too cheesey even for kids.

I would definitely choose Wall-E.
Kung Fu Panda was okay, but for me, it was like almost every typical children’s movie about ‘never giving up’ and blah and blah blah. A little bland with a small touch of humour.
Wall-E, on the other hand, does have these themes, but it has some sort of magical ethereal element to it, like when he spots the plant for the first time or when you see the desecrated Earth or even when he blasts off in space with Eve.. with what was it? A fire extinguisher? I forgot!
The animation was simply astounding as well as the fact that it did not have as much dialogue and yet you understood the little robot’s confusion.. or love for another robot. (:
And also the fact that it was INCREDIBLY adorable!
