    Hey AfroBaki

    In my honest opinion I do believe they will not be remembered.

    UFC Fighting is just like Gangster Rap the top names will not stand out in the passage of time.

    Maybe the Gracies will be remembered, but I think Bruce Lee will be remembered longer by many.

    This is just my opinion and I could be wrong.

    By the way we have always known what real combat was about, life and death, what they do is sport, win or lose.

    But I understand where you’re coming from, take care.

    -showing us that there’s more to fighting than just boxing.

    Of course people will remember many UFC fighters 50 years from now! If it weren’t for the pioneers of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, people will still be in the dark as to what REAL combat is all about. Fighters like Royce Gracie, Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Georges St. Pierre, Lyoto Machida, and many others deserve tremendous respect for widening our horizons and showing us that’s more to fighting than just boxing.

    Hey 007islandgirl

    Jack Dempsey was the heavyweight champion in 1917, he had 60 wins, 51 by knockout and 26 of those knockouts happened in the first round.

    Mike Tyson patterned himself after Jack, he wore his shoes the same way as Jack, had his hair cut the same way, wore the same color trunks and his nickname Iron Mike came from the name they called Jack’s fist.

    Rocky Marciano was the only undefeated heavyweight Champion to date.

    Ali = Famous!
    Frazier = Lean Mean Grill Machine
    Tyson = Bites Ears, Prison/Rape
    Never ever heard of the rest…

    I wonder in fifty years from now if people will ever remember the names of any UFC fighter.

    But names like Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Ali, Joe Frazier, Joe Lewis, Mike Tyson will never be forgotten.

    Just something to think about.
